![]() That’s right, the best goal horn in Flyers history was taken from the Philadelphia Union. Light em’ up, light the lamp after a Claude Giroux snipe! #1: Maria, I like it Loud (Doop!) Timestamp: 8:35 or video below That being said, fans can sing along with it and it makes perfect sense for hockey. The only reason it’s not above our number one goal song is that it really has no significance to the city of Philadelphia. Some Fall Out Boy for a goal horn? Yes, please! “My songs know what you did in the dark” by Fall Out Boy is a solid pump up song that the Flyers used for the 2013-14 season. #2: My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em’ Up) Timestamp: 12:42 It’s kind of disappointing they didn’t keep the song when they moved to the current horn. The Flyers used the horn and song from 1996-2006 before ditching them both. The horn kind of sounds like that one car in your neighborhood that would go off at 3 A.M. Van Halen’s “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” is a solid song, but the horn is… not so good. #3: Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love Timestamp: 2:29 We’ll see if the Flyers will stick with it for the 2021-22 season or if they decide to mix it up. It stuck around for 2021 which was, to put it simply, a terrible year. It was introduced in 2020, which was a great year for the Flyers before they lost to the New York Islanders in the 2020 Playoffs. The Flyers are still currently using this goal horn. “Feel The Shake” by Jetboy was a welcomed relief from all the techno stuff playing at the Wells Fargo Center. Therefore, much like “Rock & Roll Part 2”, I can’t rank it much higher. However, the Anaheim Ducks have been using it for awhile now. If the Flyers were the only team to use this, it would almost certainly be in the top three. This is a great goal horn most Pennywise songs are. “Secrets” isn’t bad, but fans would probably enjoy it more if Travis Konecny did a little boxing celebration to the iconic theme song after he scored a goal. The goal song would probably be number one if they got rid of “Secrets” and just let the Rocky theme play out a little bit. Vassy),” and it was used during the 2016-17 season. The song features the Rocky theme song as well as Tiësto & KSHMR – “Secrets (ft. ![]() It’s a good goal song because the fans can yell “HEY!” whenever the song calls for it, but it became saturated when too many teams used it. The song actually outlasted a new horn sound in 1995, but after that season the Flyers moved on. The Flyers, much like every other NHL team of the time period, played Gary Glitter’s “Rock & Roll Part 2” as their goal song in the 90s during the Eric Lindros/Legion of Doom era. #7: Rock & Roll Part 2- The Stereotypical 90s Goal Song Timestamp: 0:00 ![]() When the Flyers used this from 2017-19, how could they not have seen the Cowboys connection? It’s too bad too because if the Flyers had just used “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, it would be a lot higher on the list despite many other NHL teams having used it. This is so low on the list for one reason… it says “We Dem Boyz,” a common slogan of Dallas Cowboys fans. #8: Wiz Khalifa x The White Stripes Timestamp: 20:13 It’s obnoxious, and thank goodness it’s gone. There’s really not much good to say about it. The start of the “replace the terrible techno song every year “ trend for the Flyers, “Booyah” by Showtek was used for the 2014-15 season. Not much else to say other than it’s pitiful. Additionally, the Tampa Bay Lightning used it. Seriously? What the heck was this? “Fluxland” by XL was never really popular, and it certainly was never good.
